Yesterday, it was reported that Nick Cannon, the former star of Wild’N’Out, was filing a lawsuit against ViacomCBS for 1.5$ billion regarding his sudden firing this past month. Cannon got the ax after he agreed with decades-old anti-Semitic remarks from Professor Griff, who used to be in Public Enemy.

The Shade Room said on the 11th of August that Nick Cannon was taking legal action against the massive company, however, the New York Daily News has claimed this isn’t true. The organization claimed they spoke with Nick’s team, and his representative said there was no truth to the story.

Nikki Liberatore, an official working for Dan Klores Communications, said to reporters from the New York Daily News that Nick is not suing ViacomCBS. He’s more focused on combatting bigotry and hatred and uniting communities, rather than personal gain.

As it was previously reported, Nick has been spending time speaking with rabbis and other religious leaders after he was dropped from Wild’N’Out. Nick lost his decades-old job working with ViacomCBS on a number of projects.

This past Monday, the media personality revealed that he learned his great-grandfather was a “Spanish rabbi” after speaking with his mother about his family lineage.

The future of Wild’N’Out remains unclear, however, Nick’s firing from ViacomCBS has remained controversial ever since it was announced in the mainstream press.

Not long after the news broke, Nick came out with a number of concerning tweets that appeared to insinuate he was going to commit suicide. Moreover, the entertainer complained that his own community, the black community, didn’t have his back.

Cannon complained that he was merely trying to do the right thing, and the black community said he never should’ve apologized in the first place. Cannon was also shaded by prominent members of the rap community, including 50 Cent, who poked fun at Cannon’s predicament, to which he responded.

Cannon brought up old beef with Game and G-Unit, and also insinuated his time had long passed. Earlier this year, Nick was in the headlines again when he announced his support of Kanye West’s “Birthday Party.”
